 Подразделение потребностей по их важности (настоятельности) для человека. Различают, например, элементарные потребности (физиологические, основанные на биологических функциях человеческого организма) и социальные потребности как потребности более высокого уровня. Внутри этих групп также возможны деления по степени настоятельности (например, пища, одежда, жилище — в первом случае; рождение и воспитание детей, передвижение, получение информации о мире — во втором и т.д.). Как правило, в первую очередь удовлетворяются более элементарные потребности. Например, основные продукты питания не «эластичны», т.е. потребляются более или менее независимо от уровня и роста доходов. На практике реальная И.п. корректируется различной степенью их удовлетворения: менее важные потребности, удовлетворение которых дальше от точки «насыщения спроса», могут стать в определенных условиях более настоятельными. Иногда же потребности более высокого уровня приобретают приоритет перед более элементарными потребностями. У разных социальных групп складываются различные И.п. Поэтому изучение спроса и потребления ведется дифференцированно по социальным группам (рабочие, крестьяне и т.д.), по группам семей с разным уровнем дохода и разной структурой расходов (см.
